Learning a language... (poem by Olivia McMahon)

I came across this poem in a blog post on the FrenchTeacher blog about a school assembly for the European Day of Languages. Here's a link to the blog post:

I thought I'd put the poem into textivate. :0)

Embedded exercises and pdf worksheets below.

En la cafetería (embedded activities with images)

This text was put together as part of a Spanish unit of work which included food and drink, ice-cream flavours, euros, dialogues, pictures, sounds etc and which was combined into a free TaskMagic standalone program (for Windows).

This program contains over 250 interactive exercises and over 60 worksheets, and it can be downloaded completely free from this page on the TaskMagic blog: taskmagic.posthaven.com/taskmagic3-spanish-sample-unit-en-la-cafeteri (lots more info about the resource there too).

The text used for this blog is from 1 of the 16 files that make up that TaskMagic resource.

Textivate updates...

Lots of updates today, which mostly affect the text input screens: anagrams, no letters, initials, 5050, no vowels, no consonants (and their match equivalents).

The text versions of these screens now have on-screen letter buttons / keyboard (see above), which can be used with a touch screen, or clicked with a mouse, or used on an interactive whiteboard. BUT you can also type using your device keyboard if you're on a desktop or laptop computer. AND if you're using an ipad, ipod touch or iphone, you just need to click the word to make your device keyboard appear.
